Community Responsibility
Campus safety relies on a strong partnership between students, faculty, staff, and families. Parents and guardians can actively support our campus safety by adhering to visitor check-in guidelines, and following established traffic and drop-off/pick-up protocols.
To support student growth and keep campus operations running smoothly, we kindly ask families to minimize mid-day deliveries for forgotten items like lunches, sports gear, or clothing. Managing their own belongings helps students build vital accountability and organizational skills. Additionally, limiting daily drop-offs minimizes classroom interruptions and allows our Main Office, Attendance, and Facility teams to remain focused on core school operations. In the event you need to drop off an important item, you will be asked to label it with your student’s first and last name, and leave it at the front gate and we will ensure your student is able to retrieve the item during a break.
Emergency Communications
In the event of a schoolwide emergency, Carondelet has the capability to alert students, parents, guardians, faculty, and staff via email, phone call, and/or text messaging through our new communication service called BrightArrow, which is integrated with PowerSchool.
In order for you to receive text messages from Carondelet in an emergency situation, you must opt in to this service.

If you believe you have opted in previously, you can send the same text mentioned above to confirm your membership. If you had a student who previously attended a school that uses BrightArrow (including De La Salle), then your opt-in is already complete.
We will notify families and students of periodic tests before they happen. Please direct any questions regarding BrightArrow via email to the Director of Educational Technology Katie Almonte.
Emergency Preparedness
We maintain actionable emergency response protocols tailored specifically to our Carondelet community. Through regular campus safety drills—including fire, earthquake, and lockdown practices—and ongoing faculty and staff training, we remain up-to-date on proper procedures during unexpected events.

The Cannon Wellness Center provides a safe and supportive space where students can prioritize their social-emotional health and well-being.
