A faith-based community that embraces everyone

The Carondelet experience is deeply rooted in the Catholic educational tradition and, as such, we welcome students of all religious backgrounds. Our faith and service programs give our young women the opportunity to build character, serve our community, and strengthen their commitment to social justice.

Through our Campus Ministry programs, we help foster spiritual expression through an array of activities open to all. Our program offers school liturgies, retreats, community service, and immersion opportunities.

Our Charism

In the spirit of our founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph, we embrace our charism of “unifying love” and our mission “to serve the dear neighbor without distinction.” And this belief is at the heart of everything we do.

Liturgy and Prayer

There are several prayer services and liturgies held throughout the school year. We gather to pray on Holy Days of Obligation, for Baccalaureate Mass, and at other appropriate seasonal times. Students are invited to become lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Liturgical Dancers, Music Ministers, and offer Scriptural Reflections at our all school prayer opportunities.

Social Justice & Immersion Programs

Many opportunities to create a more just community and world are available to students. The church’s tradition of Catholic Social Teaching, a consistent ethic of life, and the CSJ charism provide the framework for the opportunities and emphases of our Social Justice program.

Spiritual Life Council

Spiritual Life Council (SLC) is open to students in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. As the student leadership team in Campus Ministry, SLC supports retreats, liturgies, community outreach drives, social justice initiatives, and other events sponsored by Campus Ministry.

Retreats

The retreat program is designed to offer our student community time for rest, reflection, and bonding with self, others and God. The charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Carondelet High School mission is woven into the themes of each retreat.

Community Service

The Community Service program weaves through the academic, social, athletic, and spiritual life of the students and faculty at Carondelet High School. In every segment of the school, service opportunities are presented to all the members of the Carondelet Community.
