As the student leadership team in Campus Ministry, Spiritual Life Council (SLC) seeks to foster a sense of Catholic community and spirituality at Carondelet among students and faculty by supporting retreats, liturgies, community outreach drives, social justice initiatives, and other events sponsored by Campus Ministry.
Members of SLC apply and interview for their appointed positions and work closely with the Associated Student Body (ASB) on school-wide initiatives. SLC participates in Cougars in Action, a community of all leadership councils, who work to ensure that all co-curricular programming is rooted in our charism of Unifying Love.
SLC is open to students of all grade levels and faith backgrounds. The council is broken into two ministry groups: Liturgy and Justice. Rick Grand-Lejano moderates the Liturgy group and Vanessa Miranda moderates the Justice group. At the end of the semester, students switch groups so that they each have a well-rounded experience of ministry and leadership.
