Heart - Faith - Courage Award
In the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Carondelet students respond to the needs of the time. Through service to the dear neighbor without distinction, commitment to unity and reconciliation, and promoting justice and women empowerment, the Sisters of St. Joseph demonstrate how to live with heart, faith, and courage. Eligible applicants should be able to demonstrate leadership and involvement in activities that exhibit care for others and specific, concrete ways they have made a difference in their community.
Requirements
- Completed admission application on file
- Completed award application, including a narrative demonstrating award qualifications
- Applicant must currently attend a Catholic middle school
- Two letters of recommendation that demonstrate the ways in which the applicant lives a life of heart, faith, and courage
Awards
Up to three scholarships are available; maximum award of $7,500. Applications were due February 10, 2025.
Creativity in Visual and Performing Arts Award
Visual and Performing Arts at Carondelet inspire students to use art as a means to react, respond, and connect both intellectually and emotionally to the world in which we live. To recognize the power, value, and importance of art in the human experience, incoming students with superior talent and creativity in the areas of music, dance, theatre arts, or visual arts can apply to receive an award upon entry.
Requirements
- Completed admission application on file
- Completed award application, including a narrative demonstrating award qualifications
- Students will be asked to attend an in-person audition (dance, music, or theatre) or portfolio review (visual arts) in late February. Scheduling details about this audition/portfolio review will be emailed to all candidates after the February 10 deadline.
- Award recipients commit themselves to taking 25 units (two and a half years) in their discipline of visual and performing arts throughout their coursework at Carondelet. Award recipients will meet with the Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair during their tenure at Carondelet to help determine the most appropriate path to fulfill their unit requirement.

Innovation and Design Award
Carondelet educates young women in the spirit of excellence and innovation that characterizes our founding Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Students who have demonstrated innovation in their area of choice are eligible to apply. Eligible applicants may include projects or documentation of award-winning science/technology fair submissions; academic competitions and their standings; demonstrations of leadership in a design-think project; other demonstrations of collaborative leadership and problem-solving.

- Completed award application, including a narrative demonstrating award qualifications
- One letter of recommendation detailing and endorsing the applicant’s commitment to innovation and academic leadership
- Description and proof of qualifying project through video, illustration, photographs, display boards, etc.

Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to students earning the top HSPT scores and school grades. The number of awards and the award amounts are determined by the committee based on that year’s student applicant pool.
Carondelet Awards
The Carondelet Award is presented to students to ensure a well-rounded, diverse, and talented class of students each year. Award selection can be based on the following qualities – academic merit, outstanding teacher recommendations, unique demonstrations of leadership, and other factors.
