Science
I spent two decades doing research in biology, looking into ecological and evolutionary-scale questions. Most recently, I worked with a group at Lawrence Livermore National Lab that investigated carbon sequestration in various types of soils, especially as it relates to climate change. I always wanted to teach and decided that it was time to do something that truly brought me joy. I moved from research to pedagogy in 2022 and haven’t looked back. When not teaching, thinking about science, or writing code, I spend time with my husband, two daughters, and our giant fluffy dog. I also enjoy knitting, hiking, playing various musical instruments, and computer games.
