Amy began her teaching career in her native Boston area where she taught choral music in the public schools and managed festival choirs in the area. In 2008, Amy joined Carondelet as director of choirs and has taught courses in digital music composition, music history, and musical theater. She has a passion for helping students find and nurture their musical talent and firmly believes that everyone has musical potential!
Amy is the moderator for the Choir Club and advisor for the National Honor Society for Music (Tri-M). She is also a longtime member of the National Association for Music Education and the American Choral Directors Association.
One of the founding curriculum writers and teachers for the dynamic freshman course, “Frosh Creation: Think, Make, Share,” Amy also delights in sharing her interest and excitement for digital music composition and audio production with the Carondelet community.
Outside of school, Amy loves spending time with her husband and two young children, and enjoys cooking vegetarian feasts and traveling.
