Allison started her career in education as an elementary school teacher. After five years of teaching, she moved into a more administrative role at the college level directing outreach efforts and new student programs. She loved visiting high schools and working with high school students, helping them achieve their educational goals, which is why she became a college counselor. After reviewing applications for three reading seasons with UC Berkeley, she began her career in college counseling, which she has been doing for almost ten years. She enjoys getting to know her students, helping find the right fit schools for them, and supporting students in their path to higher education.
In her free time, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband, her three teenage daughters, and her King Charles Spaniel Hazel. She loves hiking, being outdoors on the water or in the mountains, and watching any home renovation show on HGTV.
