Nadine Amarelo

Modern Language Department Chair, Faculty

Nadine moved from Paris to the Bay Area 30 years ago to study English Literature at UC Berkeley. She has also earned a credential and a Masters in Teaching. She is a lifelong learner and a seasoned teacher. She is passionate about sharing her love of French, literature, history, the arts, and music with her students. When she is not teaching or baking madeleines, she loves to hike with her dog Henri in the East Bay hills, read in both French and English and listen to podcasts. Every summer, she travels to France to see her family and take in the current culture.
