Born and raised in Hawai’i, Vanessa comes to Carondelet after working in a variety of Student Success roles for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, with the last 16 years being regionally based in the Sacramento area for their Office of Admissions. In that role, she has had the privilege of visiting Carondelet and participating in annual college fairs, essay reviews, and presentations.
In her free time, she enjoys adventuring with family: her husband of almost three decades and their kids (young adults but forever kids in their eyes): their oldest is a Sonoma State college grad and his partner who is in Creighton’s MD program, middle kiddo is a UCSB student and the youngest is a Class of 2026 high school grad, taking advantage of free community college with major to be determined. Rounding out the ohana is her octogenarian dad and their almost 70 pounds of aloha Husky mix.
