Born and raised in Curaçao, she grew up in a multilingual and multicultural environment where Papiamentu, Dutch, English, and Spanish are widely spoken. With Colombian parents, Spanish was the language she spoke at home, while Papiamentu, Dutch, and English were part of her everyday life at school and in the community.

She earned her Bachelor of Education in Spanish in Curaçao and later moved to the Netherlands, where she completed a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Culture.

As a Spanish teacher, she enjoys sharing her passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures with her students. She especially loves helping students discover that learning a language is also about connecting with people, traditions, food, music, and different ways of seeing the world.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, going for walks, and trying new restaurants. After school, you can often find her out for a run, training for her next half marathon!
