Sara is a born and bred Tar Heel, originally from eastern North Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since graduating, Sara has worked as an award-winning photographer and videographer throughout North Carolina and California. She lived in France for two years with her husband before moving to the Bay Area in 2021.

She has previously worked at a newspaper, a state employee association, and another all-girls school.

Sara enjoys spending her free time reading a good book, snuggling with her cats, playing board games, and exploring outside. You may find Sara on campus searching out interesting light while humming a Taylor Swift song.
