Gaeby is an alumna of Carondelet, specifically from the class that got things revving, the Class of 2007! By far, her greatest achievement during her four years was viewing the most films in Mr. Kjera’s Film Club. Needless to say, she did not pursue film for her college degree. Instead, she pursued a history degree at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. After graduating, she earned her teaching credential and headed back to the Bay in hopes of finding a teaching position.
Although Gaeby did not expect to be back at Carondelet, there was an opening for a part-time position in the Social Studies Department, a position she was hired for in 2012! The very next school year, she was hired full-time and has been in the department ever since. Her favorite classes are with her Frosh and Soph students whose energy and positive spirit inspires Gaeby every day! She has also been the Junior Class Moderator for the past seven years, a position she will pass on after this school year.
Outside of school, you can find Gaeby (attempting to be good) at trivia, spending time with her niece and nephews, and trying new baking recipes. She likes to think her chocolate chip cookies are the best!
