Phil Miller

Before teaching social studies at Carondelet, Phil had a career in graphic design and advertising while living and working in San Francisco. A dozen years into that career, the inner call to teach led him to pursue his Masters in Teaching at the University of San Francisco.

Phil has had various leadership positions at Carondelet, including Social Studies Chair for 11 years and as AP Lead Administrator, where he has helped AP teachers at Carondelet develop professionally. He has experience teaching nearly all the social studies classes taught at our school. He is certified by the College Board as an AP US History Exam Reader. In addition to teaching, Phil is moderator of the Model United Nations Club at Carondelet.

When not at home prepping his classes, Phil enjoys taking random road trips, diving into the art of ceramics, and exploring the nooks and crannies throughout Marin County. Recently he has discovered that gardening is also a great way to express his creativity while connecting with nature.
