Spanish for Heritage Speakers IV

Students will continue developing skills acquired in Spanish for Heritage Speakers I. It is a comprehensive course that provides students with practice in each of the language arts: reading, writing, speaking, and listening with emphasis on developing skills to communicate in standard Spanish. The students will improve their Spanish through the study of the history, culture, and literature of Spanish-speaking countries and the Latino influence in the United States. Students will have the opportunity to develop oratory skills while researching political and social economic issues. Expository essay writing will be emphasized. The course will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
