Sculpture 2 continues the development of skills learned in Sculpture 1. It is designed to improve and expand an in-depth look at the materials, techniques, and principles involved in creating three-dimensional art. Techniques in hand forming, carving, assemblage, and fabrication will be studied. Kinetics art and computer-generated design and manufactured parts will be a major part of this program, and students will work in metal, plastic, plaster, Paper Mache, and other media. Drawing, design iteration, and concept development will also be an important component of this course.
