Carondelet Giving Day is March 11-12! During our 60th year, join us in Empowering the Next Generation of Young Women and showing your support. Believe in Her—Give Today!
This advanced (honors) course focuses on developing a portfolio of two-dimensional and three-dimensional costume and fashion design pieces. Building on foundational skills such as pattern making, draping, and construction, students will explore more complex techniques in clothing design. Opportunities to showcase work include drama productions, a student-produced fashion show, and other arts-related events. Students will select an artistic theme to guide their designs and are required to collaborate with the instructor on gallery visits, critiques, and reviews of both historical and contemporary fashion designers.
Completion of Costume & Fashion Design with a B or better both semesters AND instructor approval
