American Sign Language 3

American Sign Language 3 (ASL) is an intermediate level curriculum. ASL 3 includes storytelling, usage of classifiers, size and movement, as well as offering units in country signs, the use of the tongue to convey varying degrees of effort, and beginning voice-to-sign and sign-to-voice interpreting. It is an opportunity to explore the usage of a vast vocabulary base that has been established during ASL 1 and ASL 2. Simple sentence structure becomes complex with the use of the advanced grammar skills of multiple facial expressions to represent rhetorical questions and the concept of continuity.
