This course builds on the concepts studied in Algebra 1 and Geometry, serving as an alternative to Algebra 2 for students who are not pursuing a Pre-Calculus or Calculus. This course strengthens algebraic skills while introducing key Algebra 2 concepts, including quadratics, polynomials, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and sequences and series. With an emphasis on practical applications, technology, and project-based learning, this course prepares students for Probability and Statistics or a college placement exam in mathematics. Algebra 2 Foundations is offered as a teacher-paced course with a strong focus on collaboration, connection-making, and discovery.
Completion of Geometry with a C- or better both semesters
