Health and Fashion at UC Berkeley

Micaela Camozzi ’16 is committed to promoting health equality with a passion for fashion.

Micaela Camozzi ’16

I’m majoring in Public Health at UC Berkeley and continue to pursue fashion as a designer, model, and co-Creative Director (President) of an on-campus fashion organization, called FAST Cal (Fashion and Design Trends).

I am an intern at UCB’s Gender Equity Resource Center, which supports women, the LGBTQ+ community, and sexual violence prevention.

Last year, I retired from Kung Fu after competing in forms and full contact fighting at my third World Tournament.

This fall, I will be continuing my education at Columbia University, earning my Master of Public Health (MPH) to promote health equity on a global scale.

I recently had the opportunity to tour the new building at Carondelet, and it is beautiful! I think the space offers a wonderful setting to engage with one another, share ideas, and start dreaming big. While challenges will always present themselves in our world, our community has the strength and tools to be leaders who ignite change. Trust your foundations and pursue what matters to you.
