Emma Moore ’24 is breaking barriers in the world of artistic swimming. In 2025, she helped Team USA win Gold at the Paris World Cup, the first major competition since the U.S. earned its first Olympic medal in 20 years at the 2024 Games.
Now a sophomore at UCLA, Emma is the only athlete on the 2025 USA Senior National Team training full-time for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics while also pursuing a rigorous Business Economics major. Balancing more than 54 hours of training each week with full-time academics is almost unheard of, yet Emma is thriving—fulfilling the dream she set while at Carondelet to pursue both education and Olympic goals without compromise.
Emma has already made her mark internationally. She was the first in the world to perform a daring new “foot-on-foot” lift at the Paris World Cup, which teams from around the globe have since tried to copy. At the 2025 Singapore World Championships, she earned recognition as the “Hero” of the meet when she stepped in at the last minute for a teammate, saving Team USA from disqualification and helping secure a strong finish.
Her resilience is equally remarkable. At Carondelet, she competed and won national titles while unknowingly battling a gastric ulcer one year and severe pneumonia the next. Through it all, her team-first mentality, discipline, and drive have set her apart.
Emma credits Carondelet for giving her the academic foundation to juggle the extraordinary demands of being both a Bruin and an Olympian-in-training. “I’m living my dream life,” she said. “I get to work toward my professional career while also doing what I love most: artistic swimming.”
We look forward to cheering for Emma on her road to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics!
