As a student at Carondelet, Toni took criminal justice and anatomy classes, which encouraged her to explore the forensic and criminal justice fields. In 2015, she graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and returned to the Bay Area to make it her home. Toni jumped at an opportunity at the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office, and after a year of tests and interviews, landed a position in the crime lab as a Sheriff’s Specialist. She has proudly worked in her field for seven years and feels fortunate that Carondelet helped prepare her for her dream job. Knowing what she knows now, Toni would offer this advice to her younger self: “Don’t put pressure on yourself. Everything will come to you in time.”
Toni wants to provide social occasions for alumnae to reunite, whether at reunions or simply returning to campus to reconnect with the community. She invites alumnae to participate in the Lenten Project this spring, Giving Day (March 12 & 13), and the Easter Egg Hunt (April 12). Toni welcomes alumnae partnership and support to make these and other initiatives successful and will be reaching out soon.
