Kelly Shouey ’97 was destined to make a splash in water polo history. After leading Carondelet to three league titles and to two NCS championship games she went on to compete at Stanford where she helped the Cardinal finish the 2000-01 regular season undefeated, the first team in the history of women’s collegiate water polo to do so. That same season, she appeared in the inaugural NCAA women’s water polo national championship game. After graduation, Kelly went on to play professionally in Italy and Australia and continues to compete in women’s water polo at the master’s level for the Olympic Club in San Francisco.
