AP Chemistry students started their day by determining the amount of energy in some favorite snack foods. This is the first time the chemists have had a chance to perform labwork in person.
Since half of the class is at home, each group consists of a lab worker and an at-home data collector. The teams will collect the data in class today, then work together virtually to determine the number of calories in their food.
Macy Lehrer ’23 remarked, “we’ve been looking forward to doing complicated chemistry experiments and I feel lucky to be able to finally experience this in person.”
