Did you know that the oceans are responsible for more than 50% of the oxygen in our atmosphere? Come join marine biology to learn why this watery wonder is so important to our planet’s well-being. This is an inquiry-based, multidisciplinary science course that challenges students to ask questions and find solutions through a surplus of student-led activities and laboratory experiments. Topics covered include oceanography, classification of marine organisms, ecology, evolution, and the role humans play in utilizing and protecting our marine resources.
Completion of Biology with a B or better both semesters or Biology Honors with a B- or better both semesters.Concurrent enrollment in Biology Honors allowed (for CHS students).
