Musical Theatre II will expand students’ understanding of the way
musical theatre works. They will learn the different staple songs that
make up a musical (the “I want” song, and extended sequence), and how
to trace a character arc. They will learn about keeping their voice healthy
while bringing character to their songs. Throughout, they will take a
deeper dive into musical theatre history and the eras that have defined
it.
Completion of Musical Theatre 1 with a C- or better both semesters
