Through the practice of active and restorative poses, meditation, breathing techniques, and philosophical context, our students will develop healthier minds and bodies over the course of the semester. As we cover and build upon the basic yoga asanas, safety and alignment are always emphasized. The goals of this course are to build flexibility, core strength, and functional fitness, while building a repertoire of skills and exercises that can be used to develop an independent yoga practice. No previous yoga experience is required.
Note: This course can be taken more than once and instruction will be modified to take into account student level.
