Shannon is an Emmy award-winning executive producer with a career spanning daytime talk, primetime reality, and network news. After 12 seasons on the Emmy award-winning, nationally syndicated series The Doctors, Shannon accepted a new role as the executive producer of From Scratch, an international, culinary adventure. The show is hosted by actor and explorer, David Moscow, whom alumnae will recognize as Josh Baskin (aka the young Tom Hanks) in “Big” and his starring roles in Newsies, Honey, Riding in Cars with Boys, and more.
In each episode, David meets with chefs from around the world and must hunt, fish, forage, and source every ingredient to recreate the dishes completely from scratch. Along the way, the show explores the stories of the people who put food on our table, different cultures, and the issues facing food producers, and our planet.
As the showrunner, Hunt oversaw every aspect of production, safely and successfully shooting across the USA and four continents throughout the pandemic. From Scratch is airing now on A+Networks’ History and FYI. Watch it tonight!
As a college student, Shannon was the General Manager and News Director of CPTV (Cal Poly TV) and News Director of KCPR (Cal Poly Radio). She also hosted her own request and dedication show for New Country KDDB 92.5 FM that aired from Paso Robles to Santa Barbara.
“When I look back at Carondelet, I am grateful for the friendships made, education gained, and traditions shared. From retreats to rallies, from musical theatre to sports, from little sis/big sis to junior ring ceremony—Carondelet cultivated a deep sense of community.”
