It was part of a “Peri-operative Nursing and more” field trip to John Muir Hospital organized by our College and Career office.

Students had a hands-on opportunity to drill into fake bones and see the metal components used in orthopedic surgery. Students were also introduced to and tried out the two million dollar Da Vinci surgery robot and learned of this cutting-edge field. Most importantly, they engaged with surgery nurses and the Zimmer Biomet personnel who shared what they do on a daily basis and their academic journey to achieve their present positions.
