Carondelet Hunger Banquet

Sunday, March 11
4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Garaventa Center - Carondelet High School

A Hunger Banquet is a volunteer-led interactive event that brings statistics about hunger and famine to life. Guests randomly receive tickets upon arrival that determine the type of meal they will receive. The tickets represent high-, middle-, or low-income earners around the world, demonstrating that where you end up is all in the luck of the draw. With this event, we hope to increase awareness about global hunger and famine, highlight issues of injustice and provide a space for hearts to be changed.

The focus of Carondelet's annual Lenten justice project is hunger. Throughout Lent, the Carondelet community is committed to learning more about global hunger and working to alleviate hunger through building awareness, praying, fasting and giving.

We invite you to join us for this interactive and experiential event.

Suggested donation: $5/guest; $3/student
Donations will go to those who experience hunger and food insecurity.
