Math Department Draws Attention of Stanford University
Carondelet's Mathematics Department was acknowledged, as a school on the forefront of a cultural shift in how students learn mathematics, at the YouCubed's Mathematics Leadership Summit Conference at Stanford University. Carondelet's Lesley Schooler and Kristina Levesque were invited to speak as part of a panel of experts who are implementing change in student mindset and mathematics programming. Teachers from around the world were able to ask questions about Carondelet's innovative math program, which provides students the opportunity to learn at their own individualized pace while ensuring that they are mastering the content necessary to advance from one level of math to the next.

Jo Boaler, Professor of Mathematics Education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, will be visiting our Algebra classes in April to observe our program first-hand, and we are excited to be recognized by YouCubed and the work of our math department to bring the type of learning approaches that help students find success.
