Big History

Big History covers the history of early humans to the 1900s, with special emphasis on epochal changes such as the rise of agriculture, city building, exploration, revolution, and imperialism. Big History connects the story of humanity to these broader contexts. Special emphasis is given to critical thinking along with written and oral argumentation. Content and assignments included in the curriculum make interdisciplinary connections between Big History and Big Voices, its English companion course, specifically with our Little Big History Project.
