Sr. Barbara Anne Stowasser, CSJ, is a native of Los Angeles and joined the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1957. Sister Barbara Anne served as an education coordinator for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and was an administrator and educator at eight different Catholic elementary schools in California. She spent the next 30 years in Arizona serving the Sisters in their varied ministries before holding several positions, including as executive director of St. Elizabeth Health Center in Tucson, and director of Children Services for Catholic Community Services in Cochise County. In 2010, she returned to Southern California to serve in provincial leadership for the Sisters of St. Joseph. Sister Barbara Anne is currently serving as a trustee at Mount Saint Mary’s University and on the board of directors for St. Joseph Center in Venice. Her long connection to Carondelet High School began with her presence at the first shovel of dirt being turned at the Winton Drive groundbreaking!
