As a first-generation college graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California, Alexis continues to seek ways to support historically marginalized demographics within the education field. During her undergrad, she was given the opportunity to attend the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education and facilitated intersectional identity workshops to educators across the country.
Upon graduation, she worked at a K-12 Charter School in Southside Chicago then moved back to California to work in the foster care field. With a background in Restorative Justice and Trauma-Informed Care, she aspires to implement an inclusive environment and support students holistically.
She is looking forward to working alongside students and seeing their growth throughout their four years here.
