Tony De La Torre

Tony is originally from the Bay Area, but took a journey to the Mid-West to study Science. After graduating from Evangel University, Tony decided to stay in the Mid-West and that is where his journey in teaching began. He taught in rural Missouri for two years, before he and his wife moved back to the Bay Area. He continued to teach at a small private school, before joining Carondelet in 2020. He has taught many classes from life sciences to physical sciences.

Helping students find their love for science is one of Tony’s primary goals as a teacher. You can always find his classes trying new things to investigate regarding different aspects of their class.

Tony is excited to be the new Moderator for the Green Team. He finds that it is important to guide students in the direction of sustainability.

You can always find his door open for any questions or if you just want to drop by to see the animals in his class.
