Martina Miller-Fowley

Faculty

Religious Studies

Martina loves engaging the hearts and minds of students in and outside the classroom. Born and raised in San Francisco, she knew from a young age that she wanted to help people connect with themselves, one another, God, and creation.

Teaching about justice & peace is a top priority, leading Martina to coordinate immersion trips to West Virginia, Arizona, Guatemala, and Mexico. At CHS she moderates the BSU, Social Justice Club, and Hearts 4 Homeless.

Martina’s work in the non-profit field includes organizing conferences for TESOL Italy, the World Affairs Council, and American Red Cross. She has facilitated restorative justice projects in Northern Ireland, announced the news for Vatican Radio, and worked in public affairs at KPIX television.

Martina is passionate about spiritual awareness, racial/economic justice, human rights education, community change, inter-religious dialogue, Catholic Social Teaching, traveling, camping, and crafting. Most importantly, she’s a proud mom to Max (19) & Jillian (16).
