I am currently VP of Communications for the J. Paul Getty Trust. We are the world’s largest cultural and philanthropic organization dedicated to the visual arts. I oversee all central communications for the multi-faceted trust, including strategic initiatives, digital media, media relations, brand management and crisis communications.

In today’s situation, I am working remotely too. It was hectic as we worked to shut down the museums and our many global programs and shift to remote work. We are very much a hands on non profit, with projects around the globe and millions of visitors each year to our museums. We’ve NEVER been closed.

It has been a challenging year. First with the Getty fire that threatened our immediate neighbors at Mt. St. Mary’s (and the Getty) and then this. It’s the strength of prayer, family and community that will help us get through and recover.

The needs today are so great everywhere. We are an arts non-profit, so we recently announced a $10 million COVID-19 relief fund to support Los Angeles-based non-profit museums and visual arts organizations in response to the coronavirus crisis.

I hope all is well for Carondelet and its students this spring. I send my love and thoughts to the entire community.
