Dear Camp Carondelet Community,
During this transition into social distancing, we wanted to reach out and let you know we are thinking of you and wishing your families the best of health and prosperity. This new temporary way of life can feel isolating, but we hope you can still find ways to connect each day with loved ones near and far.
As we continue to closely monitor daily guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Contra Costa Health Services, we feel optimistic that all recent #stopthespread measures put into place throughout the Bay Area will help our region flatten the curve of the virus before the summer months arrive.
Keeping this in focus, Camp Carondelet is still scheduled to run for all previously planned sessions in June and July. Please know, our team is currently exploring the transition to a virtual option in the event that group gatherings remain prohibited. Camp Carondelet activity leaders and counselors are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our campers and are all working hard to build a fun, enriching and memorable experience for your kids.
In an understanding that concerns for best health practices are likely to extend, we are incorporating a variety of newly advised wellness measures into our summer camp programming, including enhanced activity space cleaning, ensuring hand sanitizer and hand wipes are readily available for all campers, and training all camp staff on ways to model wellness best practices for campers and each other daily.
Lastly, to accommodate changes in the global economic market that will impact summer travel and plans for many families, we will be releasing an updated cancellation and refund policy soon that provides more flexibility as we approach the registration deadline. Stay tuned!
This page will be updated with any significant changes to plans for Camp Carondelet as we know more, but we encourage you to move forward and register as spaces are filling up fast.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We’re always here to help.
Take care and be well.
