We delivered all of the items we collected to A Friendly Manor in Oakland last week. Everything will be used to support the women who visit their drop-in shelter.
We also collected $1,800 during our Flannels for Finals fundraiser for the Catholic Charities East Bay Adopt-a-Family program, which met an urgent need they had this year to support local families.
All of this is yet another beautiful example of how meaningful and powerful our work can be when we come together as a community and, in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph, move always towards a profound love of God and love of neighbor without distinction. Blessings in this new year!
