Comparing Offers and Considering Appeals: How to evaluate your offers, determine if they are fair, and appeal for more aid presented by College Money Method

Recommended for 12th grade families. See the Weekly Updates for Zoom registration details.

Join this workshop to calculate and compare your four-year costs across colleges. You’ll learn under what circumstances to appeal your offers and how to build the best case to increase your award.
After receiving acceptances, it’s time to calculate your four-year financial commitment for each college. Financial aid lingo and confusing presentations make offers difficult to decode and fairly compare from college to college. With the FAFSA delay, preparing ahead for what to expect is even more important this year.

Families also have concerns about whether they’ve been fairly evaluated and awarded. There are ways to evaluate your award and engage with colleges for reconsideration.

This workshop provides answers to the final questions before you commit, including…

Carondelet is excited to continue our partnership with Paul Martin, founder of College Money Method, to increase support for our families in an important area of their journey to college—understanding what it means to pay for college today and the financial aid process. Paul brings expertise in the broader system of college financial support—both need-based and merit-based aid—so all families can meet their goals to pay for college.

Over the course of six live Zoom workshops, Paul breaks down the process for paying for college into the key information and actions families need to consider every year in high school. Each focused session builds on previous ones to provide cumulative, comprehensive guidance and preparation.

Carondelet families have access to The College Money Method Resource Center where they can find workshop recordings, video tutorials, and resources that are pertinent to each topic. Check the College Counseling Weekly Updates for the password.
