Senior Assembly/Alumnae Breakfast

When: Monday, May 15 at 8:00 a.m. in the Carondelet Gym; Breakfast to follow in the Garaventa Center

The Senior Assembly is a formal ceremony where the class of 2017 is honored in front of the student body and receive their Carondelet medals – a Carondelet tradition. This is a special moment as their schoolmates recognize the seniors for the last time. Gowns are worn, a nice dress with low-heeled dress shoes (no flip-flops, UGGS, boots, tennis shoes or moccasins), and no caps please. This is an all school assembly for the student body. Generally this assembly is for the students as most will be unable to attend the actual graduation ceremony due to space limitations. If a graduate is receiving an award at this assembly, a private email invitation will be sent to the parents. The Alumnae Breakfast is strictly for the graduates and any other alumnae that come to help.

Baccalaureate

Baccalaureate is a special Liturgy designed to celebrate the graduating class and to gather in prayer with classmates, teachers, family and friends, to give thanks for your time at Carondelet and ask blessings for your future. This is meant to be an event for the immediate family and it is recommended that each graduate have only four guests in attendance. A dessert reception will follow.

Memory Wall Collage - Due April 28

To: Carondelet Senior Parents & Guardians
RE: The Grad Night Memory Wall (Shhhh, it’s a secret!)

The memory wall has been a long standing tradition since the inception of Grad Night many years ago.

We are asking each Carondelet family to put together a memory page for their senior daughter. The page can consist of one picture, several pictures, or a collage of pictures. The images can be baby and childhood pictures, or a collection of high school memories from clubs, sports, etc. Please keep this a secret as part of the fun is enjoying the reactions of the students upon seeing the collages their families have created for them.

Please abide by the following guidelines:

  • Arrange the photos on an 8½ X 14 (legal size) paper. We cannot accept pages any larger than 8 ½ x 14. The page layout can be vertical or horizontal.
  • The photos must be fastened securely with tape or glue.
  • Upon completion, please take the collage to The UPS Store on Bancroft (see address below), and request a color photocopy of the memory page (keep your original pictures). IMPORTANT: Clearly write your child’s name and your phone number on the back of the color copy.
  • Leave the copy at The UPS Store. They will laminate the copy of the memory page and set it aside for pick up. The Grad Night Committee will pick up the finished collages.
  • The UPS Store: 712 Bancroft Road (Bancroft Shopping Center, at Treat, next to Safeway), Walnut Creek. Store hours are M-F: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sat: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Their phone number is (925) 934-2844. The cost is approximately $5.

DUE DATE: Friday, April 28, 2017

Please submit your memory wall collage as soon as possible. We will need ample time to organize the submissions because we expect to receive over 400 collages.
