Cougars To Play Presentation On Saturday in Regional Finals
Concord, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2017) – The sixth-seeded Carondelet volleyball team posted a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-20) victory over the seventh-seeded Colfax high school in the 2017 CIF NorCal Division IV Girls Volleyball Championship semifinal game on Tuesday night.
With the win over the Colfax Falcons (21-7), Carondelet advances to Saturday's Regional Final game against top-seeded Presentation High School. The game between the Cougars (23-16) and the Panthers (18-23) is scheduled to begin at 6 pm on Nov. 25, at Presentation High School.
The winner of the game between Carondelet and Presentation will advance to the CIF State Division IV Finals, which will be held at Santiago Canyon College, in Orange, Calif., on Saturday, Dec. 2.
In the win over Colfax, Carondelet got outstanding play on the defensive side, collecting a number of digs in the back-row by libero Catherine Helgeson. Offensively, freshman setter Angela Atis helped propel the Cougars' hitters to a solid hitting nights against the Falcons defense.
During the CIF State Playoffs, Carondelet has defeated Capital Christian (3-0), West Valley (3-1) and Colfax to advance to Saturday regional final game.
Ticket prices for the regional final game of the CIF State Division IV Volleyball Championships are $9.00 for general admission and $5.00 for seniors, children, and students, with a valid student body card.
