Monday, April 24 was a fabulous day at Blackhawk Country Club. Carondelet's Annual Swing for Science Golf Tournament provided a fun day for golfers and volunteers alike. In addition to playing a round of 18-holes, the golfers had plenty of fun along way.
- They enjoyed Tres Agaves Margaritas and hot, fresh quesadillas on the first tee.
- The ninth tee offered Sugar Island Rum Co beverages and Maverick's Catering shrimp and hot links. Free frozen treats at the ninth green provided by Arctic Express.
- Two Hole in one contests sponsored by Lehmer's Buick GMC Concord and Walnut Creek Ford.
- For added fun there was a chipping contest on to a floating island, marshmallow drive, casino hole, bulls eye hole and all of your traditional golf contests.
There was plenty of fun for everyone. The day rounded out with a hosted cocktail hour, dinner, fund-a-need and awards. There was a four way tie for low score so the winners really were surprised!
Thank you very much to our golfers, sponsors, tournaments donors, and many volunteers that made the event such a great success.
