The Carondelet varsity water polo team had a busy end to last week, playing a total of six games over a three-day span. The weekend included an East Bay Athletic League game against San Ramon Valley on Thursday, then five games in the Sierra Shootout on Friday and Saturday.
Last week the Carondelet cross country team competed in a pair of events, first at the Monte Vista Invitational on Tuesday, then the Ed Sias Invitational on Saturday. The Cougars had a solid performance at both events, as the senior class took home first place at Monte Vista, while the varsity squad posted a fourth place, and podium finish, at the Ed Sias Invite.
Concord, Calif. – Due to the extreme heat in the East Bay Area, all of the Carondelet High School's competitions for Thursday have been cancelled. No games have been rescheduled for this time.
With the school year now underway, the basketball program will start hosting open gym sessions in September. All of the open gym sessions will be in the Carondelet Gym. The Carondelet water polo coaches would like to thank the players that came out for tryouts this season. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams will have brief kick-off meetings at the completion of class on Thursday, Aug. 17. The meetings are scheduled to begin at 3:15 pm in room 48. Practice will then begin at 6:30 pm in room 48. All players should plan for a dry-land workout, before moving to the pool.

Concord, Calif. (July 11, 2017) – Carondelet High School soccer goalkeeper Angelina Anderson '19 will travel to China this summer to complete in the CFA International U-16 Women's Football Tournament, as part of the United States U-17 Women's National Team. Angelina Anderson is one of a pair of goalkeepers on the 20-player roster for the USA squad.

Concord, Calif. – Carondelet softball players Emma McLaughlin '19 and Sofia Earle '18 were selected to the All-Bay Area News Group High School Softball Team, as announced on Thursday, June 15. Cougars' third baseman Emma McLaughlin (Walnut Creek, Calif.) was a second team selection in the infield, while Sofia Earle (Concord, Calif.) was an honorable mention honoree as a pitcher.
