Carondelet High School admits qualified young women of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of admission/educational policies, athletic, financial assistance, and other school-administered programs.
The Admissions Committee considers each ninth grade applicant based on the student’s desire to attend Carondelet; high school placement test; standardized testing in middle school grades; seventh and eighth grade report cards (academics, attendance, conduct, effort); school report by Principal or Designated official; language and mathematics placement recommendations.
Although Carondelet’s curriculum is rigorously college prep, support services are available to students who may require additional support. Interviews, when deemed necessary, will be scheduled.
A wait pool will be maintained for qualified students who cannot be accepted because of full enrollment. Students who do not qualify will be so informed.
Tenth and eleventh grade applicants’ eligibility will be determined on the above criteria in addition to an interview, high school transcript, letters of recommendation and Carondelet’s ability to provide a program of studies that will meet graduation requirements. Twelfth grade eligibility is limited.
In the case of a former student re-applying, she and her parents must meet with the principal before beginning the re-admission process.
