Carondelet High School

Summer @ Carondelet

Whether you are looking for educational, enrichment or sports programs this summer, Carondelet High School has it all! Our co-ed programs leverage the same foundation of academic and co-curricular excellence as our highly respected, college-preparatory high school program.

High School

Summer @ Carondelet: Co-Ed High School

Monday, June 12 - Friday, July 21 (July 3 & 4 holidays)

Academic Advancement
Carondelet’s advancement classes allow students to get a head start on earning credit toward graduation and college, as well as free up time in their 2017-18 school schedule for greater flexibility. These fast-paced and academically challenging courses are UC-, CSU- and NCAA-approved. The two “blended” courses enable students to take advantage of face-to-face and online learning as they meet with their teacher and classmates once or twice a week for discussion, debate and simulations, then complete online coursework at their own pace within established deadlines.

Advancement Courses: Geometry, Lifetime Activities/Physical Fitness (not UC/CSU approved), and Biology

Advancement Schedule: Monday, June 12 - Friday, July 21 (July 3 & 4 holidays)

Remediation / Credit Recovery
Carondelet’s remediation and credit recovery program is designed to help students achieve expected competencies in core academic subjects that were not met in previous academic year(s). Through intensive courses and smaller-than-average student-to-teacher ratios, students will have the chance to gain a better understanding of challenging material in a supportive environment.

Remediation Courses: Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology and Chemistry

Remediation/Credit Recovery Schedule: Monday, June 12 - Monday, July 17 (July 3 & 4 holidays)

Middle School

Summer @ Carondelet: Co-Ed Middle School Camp Program

Middle School Program
Carondelet High School Middle School Program provides a great way to keep youth engaged and active during the summer months when young people tend to lose some of the academic headway they gained during the prior school year. Our exciting program includes the following academic and enrichment opportunities where students will gain new skills, develop their confidence and make new friends:

Academic Course Offerings

  • math (8:30 - 10:15)
  • language arts (10:30 - 12:15)

Debate Program 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Learn the basics of composing an argument, using evidence to strengthen your claims, and pick up tips to improve your ability to speak publicly and make effective presentations. We will explore the mechanics of a proper debate, active listening strategies, and composing compelling argumentation.
