  • VISUAL ARTS (Three-Dimensional Art, Two-Dimensional Art, & General)
  • MUSIC (Choir, Instrumental, & General)
  • THEATRE
  • DANCE
Graduation Requirements: 15 Credits

9th Grade: Students should take a semester-long 5 credit course. However, students interested in having 3-4 years of arts study may elect to take a year-long VPA class with written approval from the Department Chair. (Note: If a student chooses to take the year-long VPA class their freshman year, then they will need to complete Freshman Health during their sophomore year.) See course descriptions below for options.

10th Grade: Students should take a year-long 10 credit course as part of the UC/CSU required course list. (Sophomores are strongly encouraged to take a year-long course to fill for the Social Studies course they are not offered during the sophomore year.) The expectation is that VPA graduation requirements are fulfilled by the end of sophomore year. Students may also take a 5 credit semester-long elective in addition to the year-long course. See course descriptions below for options.

11th & 12th Grade: Students may take 10 credit year-long offerings as well as 5 credit semester-long offerings. These may be used to fulfill elective graduation requirements as well as elective expectations for UC/CSU. See course descriptions below for options.
