This Is Our Time

The Campaign for Carondelet

Racing to the Finish!

Our beautiful new Carondelet Athletics Complex is almost complete.

The finish is in sight – but we need your support to reach it.

To give our students the world-class facilities and life-transforming experience they deserve, we are in the middle of a $38 million capital campaign to:

  • Build an Athletics Complex and Student Center that will foster school pride and competitive spirit and give our teams a home field for the first time!
  • Build a STEM Innovation Center (for science, technology, engineering and math) where young women can stretch their minds and build their ingenuity and creativity.
  • Create an Endowed Needs-Based Scholarship Fund to ensure that a quality Catholic education remains accessible for those who otherwise could not afford it. Goal of $7.5 million met in full, thanks to the generosity of the Hofmann Family Foundation!

Natalie Coughlin smiles and hangs on the lane line

Carondelet High School proudly announces its state-of-the-art aquatics center
will be named in honor of three-time Olympic gold medalist, Natalie Coughlin Hall.

The Natalie Coughlin Aquatics Center is a featured part of the school's brand new, six-acre,

"I applaud my alma mater for its commitment to creating greater equity for female athletes by investing in a second campus that will be home to seven teams and all 800 students," Natalie said.

Carondelet Breaks Ground on New Athletics Complex
Receives $15 million pledge toward new $38 million capital campaign

(Walnut Creek, Feb. 6, 2017) – Carondelet High School broke ground Feb. 2 and is moving forward with its plans to construct a state-of-the-art athletics complex at the site of the former ClubSport Valley Vista Tennis and Swim Club. Just weeks after receiving city approval of its plans, the girls' school is converting the former tennis and swim club into an athletics complex that will be home to seven sports, including tennis, soccer, lacrosse, softball, swimming, diving and water polo.

"Today is the beginning of a new era for our school," said Carondelet President Bonnie Cotter. "Our girls finally will have facilities that match their amazing drive, spirit and talents and which will help them learn, excel and flourish in today's world." The school is on track to have this new facility open in time for the start of the 2017-18 school year.
