About

Since its founding in 1965, Carondelet has carried on a proud tradition of Christian community and academic excellence. Over 90% of our seniors are involved in community service.

Carondelet is a four-year Catholic high school serving young women in Contra Costa County. Since its founding in 1965 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, our school has carried on a proud tradition of values-based, woman-centered education and academic excellence, preparing students for leadership and service in the local and global community.

Thirty miles east of San Francisco, Carondelet is accessible to the region’s many cultural and educational facilities. Our diverse student population of 800 reflects the cultural, ethnic and socio-economic realities of the East Bay. Students have access to a full college preparatory curriculum, with offerings aimed at developing their hearts, minds and bodies.

On the Junior and Senior level, Carondelet and De La Salle, an adjacent Catholic boys' school, combine course offerings. We integrate the best educational innovations into our curriculum, including flipped classrooms, blended online/offline classes, and cultural immersion learning programs. We invite you will come visit us to learn more and feel the unique spirit on our campus!
